Sue Contiss

Sue Countiss
​Director,
Experiencer Resource Team (E.R.T.)

Sue is the WA Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) State Director Field Investigator, as well as a member of MUFON's Experiencer Resource Team (ERT) a separate group for 'Experiencers,' people who suspect they may have experienced a close encounter or abduction.
As a Physical Scientist, Sue worked in Radiation Safety for 27 years. Sue was a member of the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists from 1982 until retirement working in both the Nevada Argone National Laboratory and New Mexico WIPP site.
​     Sue joined MUFON in 2012 and became a Field Investigator and State Director in Las Vegas, NV. (2017).
 Sue was appointed State Director in 2023.

Dan Nims

Dan Nims
​Chief Investigator, Experiencer Resource Team​​

Dan is retired from the Air Force where he was a fighter pilot and a test pilot. He became the Director of Test for the F-22 program and finally Director of Test Resources for the Air Force.
     He spent his retirement as a small businessman in Walla Walla and is now re-retired. He has been a member of MUFON since 2017 and Chief Investigator since 2018.
Dave Gorden

David is a Field Investigator and State Section Director for MUFON Washington. He is a full time family practice physician.

     David has an Masters Degree in Science-Physics from the California State University.
​

     ​He also has a Part 135 commercial Pilots' License.
Kathleen Wyer

Kathleen Wyer
​State Section Director, F.I. Experiencer Resource Team

Kathleen joined MUFON in 2014. Her passion is rock art, fossils, archeology, and studying and photographing ancient sites. "There is a theme in the patterns from all over the world" is her theory and current area of study.
     She has a Masters Degree in Education and Communication and spent 28 years working for multiple agencies installing and training large scale I.T.
projects for Washington State.
Penny Koons

Penny Koons

Penny is a Field Investigator, Experiencer Resource Team (ERT) member and State Section Director. She retired from the military in 2014, and served in two branches of the armed forces; the US Air Force as a Flight Mechanic and the US Coast Guard in Communications. She worked as a Command Master Chief for Deputy of Logistics and was a sexual assault counselor for military personnel. She has a degree in Human Resource Management from University of Bellevue NE. She has
been researching ufology and other related topics since 2017, and had her first conscious ET experience/contact in 2019. She enjoys listening to other experiencers, working with them and providing them with resources to help them cope, find answers and find peace in the process.

Walt Beerman

​Walt is the State Section Director and Field Investigator for the Seattle area and King county. 
     Walt’s background is forty-five years of mortgage banking with a Business degree in Economics.  
     He spent four years of international volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and four years in the Army assigned to a Berlin military intelligence site.

Bruce is a musician and worked as a Information Technology Specialist. His specialty is photo analysis and understanding the meta data behind the images.

Thomas Durant

Thomas Durant

Thomas Durant is a seasoned television & film producer who also has an extensive background in on-site investigations of paranormal activity.  In 2023, Tomy joined MUFON’s WA state chapter as an FI in training.
Though there are many differences of opinion between investigators of ghost/haunting activity, and those in the Ufology field, there are many similarities and cross beneficial tactics that Thomas has learned to employ with his current MUFON cases.
